Feature and Follow #3
Feature & Follow is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The purpose is to meet new people and gain more followers in the book blogging community. If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers. But you have to know, the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me. This is my second Feature and Follow, and general the rules are:
· Follow the Feature and Follow Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
· Follow the Featured Bloggers
· Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
· Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say "hi" in your comments and that they are now following you.
· Follow Follow Follow as many as you can. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
· If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers. Thanks!!
Here’s this week’s question: Confess your blogger sins! Is there anything as a newbie blogger that you've done, that as you gained more experience you were like -- oops?
Well, my first blogging mistake was creating The Creative Forum without actually having anything in mind to blog about. Like I said in one of my earlier posts, Writing and Book Blogging, A New World, a part of me did that because I thought it was cool to say, “Hey, could you visit my website?”
Now I know what I want to blog about: writing, books, and I love making friends with other bloggers, writing my thoughts on each book I read, and doing fun memes like this one.
How about you?
Thank you to everyone who stopped by. And don't forget to leave your link in the comments section below!

Yeah, I've made a few of my own memes cause I thought it was a great idea at the time. And then I rarely use them now. I like to read discussion posts but I'm so bad at writing my own. /sigh

My FF
I like such posts too, but I'm yet to come up with one. Thanks for following; I followed you back.
DeleteHappy Friday! :)
I just tried making my own meme but I can't update them every week :)) Except for this one because I just have to answer questions!
ReplyDeleteOld follower :)
Goldie @ My Book Musings
Yeah, sometimes it's hard to keep up with meme. Thanks for stopping by, I just visited your blog now. :)
DeleteI have a couple favorite memes, this one and JC Book Haven's Sidekick Saturday. Maybe one day, I'll come up with my own. I think you certainly found your bloggin path. Your posts are genuine and entertaining.

Thanks for following back, Krista! I look forward to reading your posts too.
DeleteHappy Friday! :)
Hi,
ReplyDeleteThat is an interesting answer, but I'm glad you found your reason now! My reason to create a blog was so that I can get ARCs from authors as I heard blogging is one of the way, but I found out that there is so much more to blogging than that! I love the community. Another blogging mistake :p
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I love your blog too! New follower via GFC and Twitter.
Natasha @ Dreamland Teenage Fantasy
Thank you, Natasha. :) Yeah, I love the Book Blogging community. A lot of awesome folks out there to meet. :)
DeleteThanks for following! :)
When it comes to blogging it's okay to go in and change your vision plan. Book blogging is difficult because for every blog like yours there are five others that are similar and it's hard to stand out. Some bloggers think that they are the first to offer music playlists for books or recipes, etc when they aren't. I've thought of a meme, but then I don't know if I could actually keep up with it, etc. Right now I have a hard time picking a day to post a painting (I like to pick an old artist and showcase one of their paintings) or film friday (where you can discuss a film you just saw, etc).
ReplyDeleteJessica @ Literary, etc
(old follower)
I agree with you, Jessica. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteHappy Reading! :)
I keep changing how I do my reviews as I'm trying to find what works for me. I like this meme and discovering new blogs like yours! :)
ReplyDeleteHello!
Feature and Follow is a good meme. I've discovered new blogs through it. I recently started posting reviews here, and I hope to do it more often.
DeleteThanks for stopping by! :)
With time our blogs tend to take a direction even if we don't try. Because our interests will fall in some areas and we'll manifest as such. Writing and books is a fab direction and you'll meet lots and lots of great people who do book blogging. It's most likely the awesomest community I've met, but then again I am biased since I loved books&such :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my place, following back and wishing you a great weekend :)
Yeah, I'm glad my own did. And I'm happy for the wonderful writing and book blogging folks I've met. It's really the AWESOMEST community I've met! :)
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend too, and I wish you a wonderful new month! :)
You may started with "wrong" reasons but you found your purpose and that's the good thing. So now...no more Blogger sins!:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Athina. Yeah, "No more Blogging Sins!"

You're welcome, Madiha! :) Have a great weekend!
DeleteI had a personal blog before, so it helped a lot when I decided to start this one. Though, we all tend to change and keep trying to find what works best for us, and that's great.
ReplyDeleteHowever you started, you're doing an awesome job now! :)

Glad you found your purpose :) I'm still find myself playing around with the layout of my blog xD
ReplyDeleteThanks for following - following back :)
- Nyx @ Unraveling Words
Having a purpose and direction definitely helps with knowing what content to put on your blog. But hey, nothing is set in stone right? And change is good at times.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog, and for following. Followed back via GFC.
Holly @ Words Fueled by Love
Yeah, Holly. "Nothing is set in stone" :)Thanks for stopping by, and for following too.
DeleteHave awesome weekend! :)
Yes, I was a little unsure at first too. I mean I started my blog because it looked like NOBODY on my tumblr cared about what I actually wrote, only photos and stuff like that, so I wanted a blog that I could express myself on with hope that somebody will actually care about what I wanted to say, haha! I still don't get any comments on reviews or anything like that, but it's nice to just have it on there, I guess. Thanks for stopping by! I'm a new GFC follower :)
ReplyDelete-Novel Reveries
Thanks for stopping by, and for following too. I'm glad you found your purpose too! :)
DeleteHappy Reading!
oh! i had similar "oops" newbie blogger issues!
ReplyDeletetrish - my follow friday
That's the same thing that happened to me, but as soon as I started posting book reviews, I started enjoying my blog more. It wasn't just about "having a blog", but more about reviewing books that others might be interested in reading as well.
ReplyDeleteOld follower :)
Here is My Feature and Follow Friday

You're welcome, Farrah. And thanks for following too. :)
DeleteHappy Reading! :)
My blog started on a whim really! There was a contest I wanted to enter and having a blog was an easy way to get some "points" and then the blog just kind of stuck after that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and following my blog! Returning the follow!
Have a GREAT weekend!
NEW Follower :D
Have an awesome weekend too, Jessica! Thanks for stopping by, and for following! :)
DeleteHappy Reading!
I agree! I love doing these fun memes and checking out everyone else's blogs! So much fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and I followed you back also!
Jessica@Lovin' Los Libros
Thanks for the follow, Jess! :) I'm in love with the blogging community! :)
DeleteThat's so true what you stated; many people own a blog and only visit others for the sake of commenting or receiving comments from others. I totally agree with you that making blogging buddies and finding someone to share thoughts and opinions with is the most important and also a lot of fun ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, blog buddy ;)
Florentine @ Readiculously Peachy
Thanks for stopping by, blog buddy! :) Love the new designs on your blog. It's beautiful! :)
DeleteHave a great weekend! :)
WOW, that must have been tough! I stuck around the blogging community for about a year before deciding to create a blog. But hey, you are doing fabulously now :)
ReplyDeleteNew GFC follower :D
My FF Post!
Thanks for the comment, Alyssa. And for following too. I just stopped by your blog and followed back! :)
DeleteHappy Reading!
New follower from the blog hop :) Very cool answer, it's definitely tough to suddenly have so much room to say whatever you want to say, and then suddenly feel unsure of what it is you mean to even talk about, lol.
ReplyDeleteMy FF Post
Thanks! I just stopped by your blog and I'm following you. Great site! :)
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend! :)
Thanks for following, I'm stopping by to say great blog and following back :) I, too, am working on finding my voice and trying to make my blog stand out. Nice to meet you :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for following back. Yes, I believe that with time we all find our voice. It's nice to meet you too.
DeleteHappy Reading! :)
It took me a while to refine my blogging plan as well as I was a bit too broad at the beginning. Thanks so much for becoming a follower of mine. I'm now following you back via GFC and look forward to reading more from you.
ReplyDeleteThe Scarf Princess
Thanks, Joder! :) I look forward to reading more from you too.
DeleteHave an awesome weekend!
When I first began blogging, I also didn't have a specific direction or purpose to my blog. My loves are books and writing, so that's what my blog became focused on. :)
ReplyDeleteMy FF.
Thanks for stopping by, Jennifer. I'm glad you focused on writing and books right from the outset. :)
DeleteHave a wonderful week! :)
I love your blog!
ReplyDeleteNew follower here!
My F&F
It can be hard to find a focus for your blog, especially earlier on before we find our 'voices'. But like you said, once you know what you want to write about it all falls into place :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF earlier & following. New follower via GFC ♥
Micheline @ Lunar Rainbows
Thanks for stopping by, Micheline. I agree with you.
