Feature and Follow #13 - Preferred Reading Format
Happy Friday, everyone!
Feature & Follow is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The purpose is to meet new people and gain more followers in the book blogging community. If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers. But you have to know, the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me. The general the rules are:
• Follow the Feature and Follow Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
• Follow the Featured Bloggers
• Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
• Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say "hi" in your comments and that they are now following you.
• Follow Follow Follow as many as you can. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
• If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers. Thanks!!
Q: What is your preferred reading format? Hardcover, eBooks, Paperback etc?
I prefer reading the good ol’ paperback. I love the feel of real pages in my hands. And I like the smell too. I’d say eighty-five percent of the books I’ve read in my lifetime are paperbacks, Hardcover five percent, and eBook taking the remaining ten. I love eBooks, though. I use an eReading app on my computer; I think they're are faster to finish, and you can easily highlight any passage that catches you interest.
What about you? What’s your preferred reading format?
If you are a new follower, I prefer Bloglovin or Email please.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by. And don't forget to leave your link in the comments section below so I can see your FF or follow back!

I think I'm the opposite with ebooks. I like being able to get novellas and other kinds of books that way, but I still prefer the real book. I like being able to hold the book and I guess seeing how much more I have to read. With ebooks I have no idea other than what percent I am into the novel.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT weekend!
Old Follower :)
Yeah, definitely true. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteDo have a wonderful weekend! :)
I love e-books, and there are several reasons for it. It's cheaper for me, because shipping costs are pretty high, and it takes a while before I can get books in English here, also books are really expensive in Switzerland!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF post earlier, Kaykay.
Have a fantastic Friday!
You're welcome, Lexxie. I agree with you on the cheap prices of eBooks. They're better for you then since normal books takes time before they get to you.
DeleteHave a great weekend! :)
e-books have grown on me over the years. i used to be the "e-books? no way!" type and then i got a kindle and it's been great. :)
ReplyDeletei'm new follower via bloglovin'. hope you can stop by our FF post.
-michelle @ Michelle & Leslie's Book Picks
Thanks for stopping by, Michelle. I used to be like that too.
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for stopping by the blog Kaykay. I was surprised by how much I liked e-books - I always thought they would bother me. But I can't read them on a PC screen - it strains my eyes and it's a bit difficult to curl up in bed with it. ;)
ReplyDeleteFollowing you back via GFC.
You're welcome, Shelagh. Thanks for following, and I hope you'll enjoy the posts here.
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend! :)
Hey hopping through. I'm an ebook girl. That way I always have them with me. :0)

Yeah!!! :) Thanks for dropping by! :)
DeleteHave a great weekend.
Paperbacks mostly populate my shelves, although it's mostly because I'm too excited to wait for hardback to come out or I can easily afford it. New Follower via BlogLovin' and GFC!
ReplyDeleteI think I like paperbacks even more than Hardcovers. Hardcovers are heavy burden.
DeleteHave a great weekend!
as much as i love physical books, it is true that for me as well, reading tends to go faster in e-book format. Haha not sure what it is but maybe it's part of the magic of e-paper. thanks for stopping by and for the follow! here to return the favor :) [new via GFC] stop by anytime!

Here's My FF
Amber @Paradise of Pages
Haha. Yeah. We love the smell of books.
DeleteThanks for stopping by! :)
I don't really prefer one over the other. I'll normally get them on my Kindle first and then if I really like it I'll get it in paperback:) I'm an old GFC follower but I just followed you with bloglovin as well! Happy Friday and I hope you have an amazing week:)
ReplyDeleteK @ My Favorite Escape
Thanks for the follow, K. I hope you have a wonderful week too. :)
DeleteHiya, Kaykay! Thanks for stopping by my FF. :)
ReplyDeleteI do still love paperbacks, and always will. I love seeing them, smelling them and being around them. They bring me calm. When e-readers came out I was totally against them, but now? I don't mind so much. It makes my life easier especially when one is reviewing (where highlighting is concerned), but if I've truly loved a book, I will also purchase said book in paperback. I have to own it - physically!
Happy Friday!
Sandra @ SSBF Blog
You're welcome, Sandra. Thanks for stopping by too.
DeleteHave a great weekend! :)
Most of my shelves are PBs. Although their spines crack easy, I take care not to let them do so.
ReplyDeleteFollowing back ;)
Thanks for following, Reem. I hope you'll enjoy the posts here. :)

DeleteHave a great weekend.
I feel like I know what you're talking about, with ebooks. I tend to read those faster than hardcovers/paperbacks. Although, I haven't read a lot of print books in a while. But I know what you mean! :)
ReplyDeleteGFC follower!
Check out my FF post!
Thanks for stopping by! I followed back :)

I do love the way books smell.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit. Fowing back via blog lovin' :)
Thanks for the follow, favor returned!
ReplyDeleteI agree about paperbacks. I keep hearing about this highlight function of ereaders - might just have to check it out. It would make reviewing easier lol
Julie @Full Moon Dreaming
I bet you'll like it when you check it out. It helps when reviewing a book.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and for following. :)
I do love a paperback. But more and more I'm finding myself switching to eBooks because of the convience of having the book there on my phone.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by :)
Old Follower.
Marilyn @ Marilyn's Mystery Blog
You're welcome, Marilyn. I agree with you: eBooks are convenient.
DeleteHave a great weekend! :)
I don't usually use paperbacks, because I tend to read novels that are newly released. However, if they did come out in paperback form, I would switch from hardcover to paperback in an instant! xD
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! Old Follower.
Daphne @ Reading Until Dawn
You're welcome, Daphne. I don't always read new books because it takes time before I get them.
DeleteHave a great weekend! :)
Sheesh, I don't know what my percentages are. I agree, there's nothing like a paperback. Even the lure of a pretty hardback can't compare to the feel of a worn paperback in your hands. I like my Kindle app on my computer and my eReader for authors like me who are still just dipping their toes in the big bad water of publishing. Have a great weekend, Kaykay!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I dream about reading, the images I see is me holding a paperback, not ebook or hardcovers. Hardcovers are big burden to carry around.
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend too, Robyn. :)
Thanks for stopping by my FF. I don't like to actually read on my computer, but my ereader is good. I'm a new Bloglovin follower.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Lisa. I read on my computer because I don't have an eReader yet. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteHave a great weekend.
Hey! I *love* the feel of a book, but eBooks are my thing now. *laugh* I need the room. ;)Followed back by GFC.

Thanks for following. I hope you'll enjoy the posts here. :)
DeleteHave a great week!
See, I definitely prefer hardcover, just for the fact of less damage to the book. lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by mine already!

Becky @ Book Bite Reviews
Yeah, that's one of the advantages of the hardcover.
DeleteThanks for stopping by! Have a great week! :)
Yep I like the highlighting advantage in ebook. :)
ReplyDeleteIt helps when writing a book review. :)

I definitely love paperbacks and always will. :D Thanks for stopping by my FF! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteYeah! Me too. :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteHave a great week too.
I like to highlight passages and stuff.... That's why I like eBooks, but it is fun to pick up real books too!!
ReplyDeleteThanx for visiting my FF!
Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace

You're welcome, Naomi. Reading real books is fun. Sometimes reading eBooks is distracting, for you might want to check up something on the computer.
DeleteThanks for stopping by. Have a great week! :)
Thanks for stopping by my FF! I agree with you! Although for me I think I read about almost 50/50 physical books and ebooks. Depends on my mood. =)
